Bible Baptist Church

I have been going to Bible Baptist of Bartlesville just under a year now. I was saved just over three years ago and realize the difficulty of finding a genuine assembly of believers who believe the Bible and follow its doctrine without compromising with the world. We truly are in the end times close to what the Bible describes as Jacobs trouble, or the great tribulation. After I moved back to town (Bartlesville), I now understand that I was led to this church. This assembly has been such a blessing to me, and the diversity of ages of attendees make for a great fit for any one looking for others to fellowship who stand on for the truth of Jesus Christ the Savior. There are babies, youth, teenagers, young adults, middle aged adults and elderly who all faithfully attend with a heart for the Lord and his ministry of reconciliation. We are small in number but big in heart, helping each other when/where needed. This is a great place to grow spiritually, where great examples are to learn and glean from. Any and all questions regarding the scripture is welcome! We don’t want any to be caught dead without the knowledge, hope, peace, and love our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has for us all!

Here at Bible Baptist, we have traditional services that include classic hymns of worship that follow doctrinal accuracy, and sermons usually last around an hour. Pastor JD teaches scripture with scripture during service, feeding the flock with much reading of the text itself throughout the sermons, and expounding and teaching where necessary. He follows the words and is led to preach the whole counsel of the word. The gospel which we are saved by is preached almost every service, and we are diligent to continue in our mission. We put together Bible tracts on non service evenings to send abroad, in hopes to reach others in different countries and who speak different languages.

Main services are led and come from various texts regarding different subjects/topics needed covering, we also learn through the Bible book by book during evening and Wednesday services, and are currently in the book of Colossians. We are currently going through a 52 week Discipleship Course during Sunday school, tackling the fundamentals of the faith including repentance, the gospel, salvation, baptism, eternal security, position and practice, etc… we have fellowship meals every few weeks, and are always excited to see and welcomely enjoy new visitors seeking the truth.

We are independent of other surrounding churches and read only from the Authorized Version given for the English language. We believe the words have been preserved without error, and with study and by the help of the Holy Spirit we can be led to all truth needed and profitable for us through the text. We believe newer versions have been corrupted and perverted, thus were not inspired by the Holy Spirit. We stand on the word, and preach against sin and and it’s destructiveness along with the warning of judgment to come.

We want all to choose wisely and be led by the Lord. He is the greatest teacher, he is the giver of peace in a world that doesn’t know it. God sent his son to die for us while we were sinners. This is the greatest love a man can know and accept. There is no greater joy than to see others walking in the truth. Salvation is a gift, given, not earned. When we accept the gift God has for us, we are given the Holy Spirit of promise, which leads us to all truth.

Come visit, and let the author of truth work on your heart. His truth corrects us, His power helps us overcome and have victory over the sinful nature we all are predisposed to. Sin is pleasurable for a season but destroys our lives later on. Only by being born again of the spirit can one know God personally, intimately. He is like a father, patient and correcting, loving us before we ever loved Him. He knows what’s best for us, so here at Bible Baptist we listen, we study, we learn from the examples given to us.
