Calandra Contracting charged $1,485 for approximately 6.5 hours of work. Calandra installed 6 new faucets, worked on two toilets, and was supposed to reseal a kitchen sink. After Calandra left, I noticed that the sink was not properly cauked. Initially, I talked to Calandra about reseating and sealing the sink. Calandra assured me that the sink could be fixed without removing it. Instead, all Calandra did was slap some caulk under a new fixture. That approach left rotting caulk all around the sink. When I emailed Calandra, I received what I consider a condescending and disreseptful response. I am amazed that Calandra, charging over $200/hour, would treat a customer concern in this fashion. The caulk Calandra installed last Friday (3 days ago) is already disintegrating. Also, Calandra installed 5 faucets without cleaning 16 years of accumulated gunk and left dirt and gunk on counter tops, mirrors, floors, and under vanities in all these locations. In my opinion, sloppy work and poor work ethic are disreseptful to myself and my home.
