CHEN Law offers legal services in DC and MD. Its founder Karl Chen, is a corporate lawyer with both regulatory and public company securities, governance and corporate compliance experience. Mr. Chen began his legal career with the SEC in 1994 in the Division of Corporation Finance. He left the SEC in 1997 to join Nextel Communications, Inc. as its corporate counsel for SEC and Finance matters. In 2003, Mr. Chen joined Fannie Mae to assist in developing its corporate compliance program with an emphasis on securities compliance. In 2006, he joined Watson Wyatt to serve as the company's lead securities lawyer for the public reporting and investment advisory business. In 2009, Mr. Chen led the company in consummating its $3.5 billion merger with Towers Perrin. He formed CHEN Law in 2011.
