The surgeon misrepresented what needed to be done, and left my feet in a crippled state with a lot of scar tissue. Over 4 months after surgery, I still have pain when wearing close toed shoes, cannot walk far, and cannot fit into most wide EE shoes. My pain and feet problems are at least 100 times worse after going to Family Foot Center. I am basically disabled. I had been a very active hiker, skier, etc., and may not ever be able to partake of these activities again. I suggest going to an orthopedic surgeon. Do not make the same mistake as I did. I am a nurse of 30 years and still cannot believe this has happened to me. The surgeon I had, Dr. Monson, recently left the practice to go to Group Health, but the replacement Dr. was of no help with my issues and gave some bad advice. I also found their clean/sterile technique extremely lacking. All I can say is beware, your feet are important!
