Reviews for Grading Howell & Hauling

This company has been violating city noise ordinances on the weekends in the city of Canton. Two Saturdays in a row they have begun construction on a residential home site at 7AM in my RESIDENTIAL neighborhood. I called the Sheriff's department and the sheriff said they are indeed in violation of the city's noise ordinances, but because his department's powers had been stripped, they wouldn't be able to enforce these laws. He advised me to contact the Marshall on Monday because he was the only one with authority to stop them. Being that it was Saturday, I decided to go over and let the construction workers know. Since no one would stop to talk to me, I walked up to to the truck driver's window and said "You know you're violating noise ordinances, right?" He shrugged. I said "I called the sheriff because of it." He shrugged. I said "oh I know, you just wanna finish this job so you can get to your next bids and make more money." He slyly smiled and nodded his head. Since I couldn't get a word out of his mouth, I left angrily. Then I decided to go back and get the company name/license plate number to complain with their supervisors. The truck had left so I waited in the driveway. As the truck pulled in, I wrote down his information and he saw I was doing this. When he pulled up next to me I noticed it was a different driver and he yelled at me "You've already spoken with the owner lady!" (Apparently the first silent man i spoke to was the OWNER) I said "that's okay, I'll be calling the Marshall out here Monday." To which he replied "So what? Well be gone by then." I left and called the company. I asked to speak to a supervisor about their noise violation. The secretary told me "well it's only a couple of guys out there." I told her it was a violation of law and that I will file a BBB report. She hung up. I left a message on their machine when I called back. Then I proceeded to film videos of their trucks violating several laws as they passed by my house for additional proof of my grievances (The noise was LOUD and atrocious, they ran the stop sign in front of my house, and they refused to cover their loads as they hauled dirt past me, leaving dust and dirt everywhere). One of the trucks was angered by this and decided to take videos of me (and my house when I wasn't even outside) each time they passed (about every ten minutes for several hours) while honking and giving me the middle finger. This company did everything in their power to intimidate and harass me after I politely asked them to follow the law so I wouldn't have to get nasty with them. Howell Grading and Hauling is unprofessional, law violating, rude, and down right scary to come into contact with. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE
