Merkel Furniture & Carpet One has been in its current location in downtown Chelsea Michigan since 1924, and is the oldest, most experienced Home furnishings company in Michigan. Since 1924, Merkel has grown from a small town hardware store in Chelsea, to two locations-our beautiful furniture and flooring store in Chelsea and flooring only store in Ann Arbor. The tradition of high quality furniture and flooring remains strong throughout the entire company from the sales staff to the utmost in delivery and installation teams in the business. We are a full service company that prides ourselves on customer service before and after the sale.
