Jerry Gillespie is not an honest business man. We had asked him to cut down a tree in early October. We do lots of projects so we asked him to call before he came to cut it down. A few days later we saw the tree had been cut down with no phone call. And the wood we were going to turn into furniture was cut into small rounds and rolled off into the woods. On top of that, the stump was standing 2-3 feet tall. So we called to explain why we needed him to call before he cut and that the stump needed to be cut down. Instead of an apology he told us he didn't do it his son Shannon did it and it wasn't him fault but he did offer to finish cutting the stump and bring us some logs to make our furniture with. At this point we were feeling a bit better. He said he would call before coming. We got a call once but we're unable to go to the house because of work schedules. We did not get another phone call until Thanksgiving afternoon. Shannon, the son, called us to say he was coming over to drop off the logs, cut the stump and pick up the check. Who does that on thanksgiving day. We had a large group gathered at our home and there was no way that would work. So a few weeks passed. Jerry called on Saturday and we were out of town. Every time they had called they were already on there way no schedule of any kind. So we asked them to schedule it on December 7th, that was monday. They came out and did the work and then asked us to refer friends and family to them. It took them from Oct to December to cut down one tree. Poor customer service and terrible work ethics.
