I bought a package of ends and pieces bacon, the really big packs that are $10. I opened it later and it had this disgusting sweet smell like it had gone rotten. I checked the date and it was fine, so I look at the ingredients. Third thing I see is sugar and later "maple". I absolutely HATE sweetened meat, especially bacon and ham, but my boyfriend doesn't care either way, so I cooked some. My entire house now REEKS of maple, so much that I had an asthma attack so bad from the just the smell that I was coughing up blood and I didn't even get to eat some tasty bacon I paid a bunch of money for. It would be super nice if you would change your packaging to say that your bacon is maple flavored in large enough print that people can tell is isn't normal, delicious, salty bacon, and it actually tastes like it should be thrown in the trash. It would also be nice if you would make bacon without maple flavor so I could buy your bacon again because besides the fact that it was maple, it was really decent bacon and it's the only ends and pieces bacon the Cub by my house sells. I have to go 3 towns away to get to a Wal-Mart where they sell a different brand that isn't maple flavored.
