Adams Chapel A. M. E. Church

Adams Chapel seeks to share the good news that Jesus Christ is the living Son of God who wants to transform & empower us to change our world for good!

Adams Chapel is an African Methodist Episcopal Church. African means the church was organized by people of African descent. It does not mean the church was founded in Africa or that it is for persons of African descent only. We welcome people regardless of racial or ethnic background. Thus, a part of our motto is man our brother. The church took root in the Methodist church providing an orderly system and structure to our assemblies and ministries. Methodism also places emphasis on the simplicity of the gospel and adherence to biblical faith. Episcopal refers to the form of government lead by bishops. The AME Book of Discipline has our constitution, laws, and judicial structure. it delineates key doctrines and emphasizes the Bible as our only source for doctrine and beliefs.
