Advantage Tools was started, in the spirit of American ingenuity, as a way for the original owner to finance his way to owning some really awesome tools. When he decided to retire the business, two of his customers, brothers, didn’t want to lose access to these awesome tools, so they decided to buy the business. In 2014, brothers David and Steven Vanden Hoek, along with their respective wives, embarked on this new adventure.In many ways, Advantage Tools is a natural extension of our family’s love of woodworking. David and Steven own a custom cabinetry business and have a depth of experience and knowledge, not just about the tools, but in their practical applications. We won’t lie – we are not salespeople. We are fellow business owners, seeking to improve the art of working with wood. Our goal is to build up a great community of people who also love to work with wood… and provide them with the same awesome tools that inspired us.As fellow craftsmen, we understand the unique challenges and obstacles our customers face. We may not always have the answers, but we will definitely seek to give you the best possible advantages that we can.
