Project Reclamation presentations: (1) lectures ("African Linguistic Retentions in the United States"; "African-Derived Names in the United States"; "The Naming of Africa: Origins of the Names of the Continent's Nations, Cities, and Natural Features" (2) lecture-demonstrations of African and African-derived musical instruments (West, Central and Eastern Africa; the Caribbean and the Bahamas; Central and South America; the United States) (3) musical instrument-making workshops Pan-African Arts: Through this component we craft African and African-derived musical instruments, which we offer for sale at special events (arts and crafts shows, festivals, etc.) throughout the southeastern United States and via our online storefront.
