Aschiana supports educational and nutritional programs for the working street children of Afghanistan.

The Aschiana Foundation supports the grassroots efforts of Aschiana in Afghanistan to better the lives of the working street children. The US organization is an all volunteer force that is focused on raising money for the programs in Afghanistan. Begun in 1995 Aschiana Afghanistan teaches children who must work on the street at least part of the day how to read and write. It also imparts vocational skills to older children and provides all who attend at least one hot meal per day. Health and safety are part of the curricula. Programs are run in 16 different locations in Afghanistan.
