Located in the Piney Woods of Livingston Parish, The Town of Livingston was built in 1916 as a sister Town of Garyville (located on the Mississippi River in Saint John the Baptist Parish) to harvest the virgin pine timber from the area. It was shipped south to the Lyons Lumber Company via the Garyville Northern Railroad to the be milled then shipped around the world. This local business is family owed and operated and some of the item still reflect the times gone by in these rural piney woods of the Florida Parishes of Louisiana.
