I started my business soon after my own house was hit by a tornado in 1991. I realized that I knew more about fixing my house and I cared a lot more than my contractor did, so I fired him and fixed it myself. From there I started buying fixer-uppers. Then friends started hiring me and before long I had a handywoman business. I am a consummate jack-of-all-trades. I do carpentry, window replacement, wall destruction/construction, basement makeovers, kitchen/bath remodels, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, some appliance repairs, tiling, painting, most flooring, install ceiling fans, stop leaks just about anywhere, reface fireplaces, install heat exchangers in wood burning fireplaces, remove wallpaper, assemble furniture, fix just about anything, plaster, mortar, whatever.
