Benton Furniture Share

Furniture Sahre is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) operating since 1998 to redistribute quality used furniture, at no cost to individuals & families in need.

Our program helps to increase comfort and safety by quickly providing basic furniture and household goods to those within the vulnerable populations of our community. The primary targeted population to receive our program services will be those who are in transition to self-sustainability. One project is Bed for Kids which is to help increase comfort and safety by quickly providing a bed, pillow, sheets and a blanket to individuals in need. Children no longer have to sleep on the floor in our communities. Moving children off the floor to a clean bed decreases their risk of asthma, colds and other respiratory problems. In FY 09/10 Furniture Share served 3,019 individuals of which 1,119 children received a bed and diverted 166.1 tons from the landfill.
