Managment is awful, go elsewhere!

I hate having to write this but I will make sure my story is heard. I have used Beverlys over 25 years and they have always been amazing, but last week really changed my view... but what makes me write this is how they have handled the situaion. I ordered a cake IN PERSON May16th, the girl who took the order was not knowledgable and had to keep going to the back to ask someone how to do a naked cake or write up the form, i showed her 1 picture (actually one from Pattys cake that i orginally ordered but then went to Beverlys as they have always been special to me and havedone all special events over the last 25 years, weeding included) i knew they would be the best, well i was wrong. The girl filled out the order form minimal and i told her i needed it to feed 17-20 people. I am not a baker, i dont know tiers or sizes, i showed a picture and explained for my parents 50th wedding. I went to get the cake morning of my parents anniversary (May 24th) and the cake was so small, and nothing of layers. it didnt look naked it was half assed! i was not happy and the same girl Camila who took my order was sent out to try to help me which was worse, i explained no way it could feed 17-20. she said they would throw in 6 cupcakes. That is besides the point i needed and ordered a cake big enough to feed what i requested, price was never an issue.

The manager hid in the back and Camila came back out and said sorry thats what i ordered and nothing they could do. I should of made a scene as many people were in the bakery, but again i have always cherished this place and was really upset but left. I took the cake as again i paid for it prior and now was in a pinch! i wrote a review as my issue was the manager could have come out to hear me out so this mistake wouldnt happen to others (read their yelp seems this is a continous problem with them.) When posting on social media many others stated they had issues. the Manager left me a message the next day and i called back 2 times over the next 2 days to no care to return my calls, a week later nothing. Then ASHLEY who is a decorator and a horribe one bashes me on social media and took the order form and added to it, lied and accused me of all sorts of stuff. She wasnt even working and if thats how they talk about their customers and about their customers I am embarassed for them. They messed up and all the manager had to do was call me and maybe in the future it would have saved another lost customer. I own a business myself and not looking to hurt them, but how they handled this situaion and how they allowed Ashley to speak shows they do not care. I will continue to post, and let others know so it doesnt happen to them. I should of stuckto ordering at Patty's, so many amazing places out there and Beverlys no longer will get my bsuiness. Its a shame they have let it go this far
