I was stuck at Bangor Int'l and the rental car place gave me a list of taxis to choose from, since Lyft and Uber are practically non-existent here, no public transport, no shuttles. Practically a cemetery around there. The man specifically starred 3 or 4 of them as recommended. Brad's was #2. It was a little after 7pm on a Saturday. The first choice had no one to send. "Brad" answered when I called him and said he couldn't get anyone there for an hour. I told him I was stuck and had no choice but to wait and that was fine. I waited an hour and a half and no Brad, no phone call. It was cold and rainy out but I wandered out a few times and no Brad. So I called him to see if he was sending anyone. He did not pick up the phone. Voice mail came on and I had to leave a message. I was annoyed and actually even on the verge of crying as am here on a job from Phoenix and really had no one to call to help me. I did not realize that I needed to make a reservation for a taxi before I flew out because it's such a ghost town. "International" is misleading as it is one runway with only 10-20 flights per day so no one wants to go there and sit all day for a fare. I get it. Still, I was nice and asked him to please let me know if he was sending anyone so I could call someone else if needed. No answer. Ever. So I called 4 more places and was only able to get a hold of one person who actually was waiting outside for any fare, THANK GOD. This is really crappy business practice. If you can't come or don't want to, just say NO. Don't leave some girl alone in a practically deserted airport wondering if she's going to have to spend the night on the luggage carousel. Jerk still has not called back. Sure not going to use him when I go home. Use FABCAB instead!
