About the Artist.... Jewelry Design by the Ranch Wife is the creation of Heather Oswalt Whatley, a farmer's daughter and a rancher's wife in local Beauregard, Alabama. Heather hand makes unique western inspired jewelry that is fun, fashionable, and durable for any occasion. A Southern country girl at heart, she grew up in rural Macon County, Alabama on her family's farm where they raised row crops, hay, vegetables, beef cattle, hogs, and quail. She has always had a love for animals, but her special passion for horses has helped shape her path in life. Heather's love of jewelry design sprouted from her successful rodeo queen competition days, when she began making jewelry to match her outfits. Heather is married to a local rancher who manages a large cow/calf operation, and their adorable daughter is growing into quite the little cowgirl herself.
