A Little History-Dan began his career in cake decorating in 1972, while stationed in Germany. He started out doing Birthday cakes for children. After a couple of months word got around and a General called him into his office and told him that his daughter was getting married and asked him to do her cake. Dan said, "he had never done a wedding cake" then the General said, "you have 30 days to learn." Dan took that as a challenge. 30 days later he had created his first 3 tier wedding cake. In 1989 he started cake sculpting, The first was a wine barrel for the KLRN Wine & Cuisine Tasting, in San Antonio. He has sculptured many buildings, Horse, Armadillo, Deer, Fifth Wheel just to name a few.
