Challenger Center for Space Science Education is a global nonprofit organization created in 1986 by the families of the Challenger 51-L crew tragically lost during the Challenger's tenth mission. The Challenger Learning Center of Lake Erie West is part of a network of centers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. A visit to the Challenger Learning Center is not just a field trip. It's a unique hands-on learning experience, transforming you into a scientist, engineer, or researcher on a simulated space mission, complete with mission control and a spacecraft!
