I've heard many great leaders say "one of the best ways to learn how to be a good leader is by watching the failures of poor leaders". Our philosophy about consulting isn't very different. The practices and approaches we've put in place that have yielded our clients such great results largely resulted from watching other consulting firms waste millions of dollars of their clients money only to deliver a weekly status report and a few flashy slide shows of limited utility. From day one, we insisted on doing things differently. We started with the methods we use to identify our consulting resources.
