Cleaning for Cancer is a non profit organization dedicated to cleaning people's homes at no cost who are afflicted with cancer. A cancer diagnosis is a frightening and life altering traumatic experience. It affects not only the patient but their entire family as well. There are so many unknowns when one receives this diagnosis. What is the prognosis, what treatment is best, what hospital, what doctor do you choose? How will we pay our bills, who will take care of the kids, how will I cope, how will I clean my home and maintain my dignity? All these issues and life altering decisions must take place all at the same time. The cure and road to recovery is hard and frightening with radiation or chemotherapy perhaps in the patient's future.
