Title 24 energy reports are a requirement for residential and commercial building projects. A Title 24 report verifies a building energy design with a standard energy design of a like building following the California (CA) Title 24 energy code. An energy consultant uses information about the building energy design and uses either a strict guideline of rules for compliance or a computer-modeling program and will allow flexibility in the design of the building. Within the CA Title 24 Energy Code there are also mandatory energy measures that each building project must comply with, regardless of the proposed energy design.
