I am a resident on old Rt 87, since 1978, my wife her whole life, and am concerned what your trucks, hauling silage, are doing to our quality of life in Franklin. My wife and I own 90 acres, 50 of which is under farm land preservation and leased to local farmers. The current truck jake breaking and speed on our roads is getting out of control. Even though I have called and complained nothing is changing.

I am reaching out to you as the owner, and current boat owner like myself, for help with this problem. Neighbors on all roads around us are similarly concerned and contemplating further action to remedy this problem. I feel some of the Cushman trucks have been properly mufflered but some have not. I also understand you are utilizing other farm’s trucks that are also not mufflered properly. Recent recorded decibel levels on Kahn Rd have been in excess of 100 decibels, a level in violation of state statutes. I do understand that you have to harvest a lot in a short amount of time and, and I fully support farming, but speeding and creating excessive noise don’t have to be part of that harvest.
