My name is Garrick Allan. I am an artist who over the past few years had pursued my long-time goal of becoming a novelist. Having been an avid reader ever since picking up E.B. White's Charlotte's Web as a youngster, through my adult life I've entertained the thought of writing. A few of my college professors praised me as being a good writer, but for years I let life's challenges keep me from starting. Finally I decided to just get on with it. There were a number of false starts, but after some persistence my first novel Darkness Incomparable came to fruition. It started as an attempt to cash in on the YA surge where I attempted to bring the H.P. Lovecraft story device to that genre, but as it progressed I felt the story had become too bizarre and dark for younger fare and decided to shak
