After the trial judge approved the entire verdict, the company paid a confidential amount of money to settle the case. Joe received his law degree from the University of Georgia in 2000. His 3.9 GPA ranked 2nd in a class of more than 220 students, and he received the highest grades in his class (A+) in the subjects of Torts, Civil Procedure, and Criminal Law. In 1996, Joe graduated from Vanderbilt University, with a B.S. in economics and a 3.7 GPA. He clerked for the U.S. Court of Appeals (11th Circuit).
