I am in my early 40's, and was recently diagnosed with a condition that left me unable to drive. With three children at home and various activities my stress level is at an all-time high trying to get my kids places, not to mention doctor appointments, groceries, etc. My issues with Dial A Ride is they do not provide services for people in my situation. It's a too bad, so sad attitude that makes me upset. I need something to be able to pick up my children from school activities; my daughter from preschool and be able to run errands. Dial A Ride makes this difficult as they only drop people off and will return at a later time to pick you back up. For example, picking my daughter up from preschool is a hassle since they will drop me off to go get her and then I have to wait around for a half hour to be able to come back home. And Frankfort does not offer any other solution nor are they willing to help. I do not have close family nearby so basically I'm stuck. This is not a service for younger disabled people.
