DisabledCommunity.Org (DCO) is a nonprofit 501 c 3 designed to help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities, their friends, caregives

DisabledCommunity.Org started as an information clearinhouse to make it easier to find the information they need. Because DCO needed to fund the 501 c 3 and other business fees, an online bookstore was created and an online bookseller training program began for people with disabilities. DCO began teaching computer, internet and business skills needed for meaningful employment. Most of our volunteers have never been paid for employment, visited the post office or a bank prior to participating in DCO programs. DCO also organizes community events to educate, entertain and end the isolation within our community. DCO uses the income raised from online book sales and events to pay the rent, buy office supplies and grow programs.
