The Downtube is Albany's first choice in old-school bicycle shops! We have been awarded 'Area's Best Bike Shop' by Metroland for more than ten years.
We have road, mountain, hybrid, urban, commuting, folding, tri-athlete, cyclo-cross and kids' bicycles. After selling every major brand, we settled on those with exceptional value, quality and customer satisfaction. We service and repair all brands! We always have. So our experienced mechanics have seen it all before. And they stay current: in 2012 three of our staff attended the multi-day Park Tool mechanic workshops in Minneapolis. We will get your bike and equipment back on the road quickly and efficiently. Many repairs can be done while you wait or while you visit a nearby coffee bar. Estimates are free! Appointments available for 1-day service.
