Business description
Coal Bed Methane (CBM) or Coal Seam Gas (CSG) water treatment, an enabling new technology for natural gas production
Drake Water Technologies (DWT) has developed and demonstrated a patented new and novel ion exchange technology (Drake Process) that transforms environmentally harmful sodium bicarbonate water, a by-product of Coal Bed Methane (CBM) or Coal Seam Gas (CSG) production, into clean water. Our Drake Process technology allows us to treat CBM (CSG) produced water for direct discharge to streams and rivers, or for other beneficial uses such as irrigation or application to vulnerable soils. The Drake Process produces clean water at rates as high as 250 gallons per minute (~8500 bbl/day), thereby enabling and facilitating the production of natural gas. The Drake Process is economical and produces only two streams - clean water and a saleable by-product (sodium sulfate)..
