Tae Kwon Do is Korean for "the art of hand and foot." It's a practical form of exercise that can build strength, coordination, agility, and flexibility in anyone. Training is based on the tenets of Tae Kwon Do; courtesy, integrity, modesty, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Students practice their skill by performing techniques that are centuries old, all in a safe, controlled, and fun environment. Children in particular benefit from classes in "stranger danger", and they learn to avoid dangerous situations at school, on the playground, and elsewhere. Our programs for young children help them develop in areas parents appreciate most: increased attention span, learning respect for others, increased self-esteem, and enhanced coordination.
