Business description
Located in Putnam County Florida, started in 1892 by the Edgar family. We are arguably the oldest continuously operation in Florida.
Originally operating as the Edgar Plastic Kaolin Company and more recently as the Feldspar Corporation's Edgar Facility. The original focus of the operation when it was founded 118 years ago, was the white kaolin clay, while the sand contained in the reserves was treated as a by-product of the clay process. Today, Edgar Minerals, continues to produce the unique, high quality clay along with premium and custom blended sand products for industrial and construction use. With over 2500 acres of mineable land, Edgar Minerals is capable of supplying local and global markets with sand and clay for many years to come.
