The Principia is an early education and childcare center which is housed in a large, secure, standalone building. The Principia accepts children 6 weeks to 15 years of age. We focus on all three areas of development (intellectual, physical, socio-emotional) with a special emphasis on intellectual and academic development. All this is accomplished in a high level security building so that parents can have peace of mind when they drop their child off at The Principia. We are conveniently located 4 1/2 minutes away from the Marc Train Station.
We approach each child as an individual with his/her own talents and one-of-a-kind needs. "Principia" is Latin for "Principles." However, the word "Principia" does not refer to just any principles but rather to those fundamental ones that lead to the development or creation of something significant. Our five Principia (or principles) inspire and motivate children to enjoy learning by instilling self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment. These Principia help them develop their physical, intellectual, and social skills so they are prepared for elementary school and beyond.
Our center is located in a beautiful setting on 1.54 acres of landscaped grounds. We have one of the largest outdoor playgrounds in the region with both covered and uncovered areas. Our building has spacious, well equipped classrooms and large windows through which sunlight streams in.
