I hand cane and weave chair seats on all kinds of chairs with "woven" seats. Once the chair is back in my studio I go over it and do any repairs needed and tighten up the dowels. I then go over it with Lemon Oil or Howards to make sure it looks its best. The seat is the very last step. I then stain the seat to match other chairs in a set or to just give it some age.
