Osterman Propane was founded by Ernest Osterman in 1960, following his service with the United States Marine Corps in the Korean War. In the 50 years since its founding, the company has grown from a small Massachusetts-based business into one of the largest propane marketers in the Northeast. It currently serves 80,000 customers in 600 communities across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, and New Hampshire. It offers propane solutions for home heating, cooking, hot water, and fireplaces, among many other affordable and efficient applications. Osterman Propane employs 200 team members and offers 24-hour customer service 365 days a year. Though it ranks as one of the 20 largest propane marketers in the United States, Osterman Propane still remains a family-operated business.
