Company Profile
In 2003, The Iron Design Group, a California Company was established, which develops and markets wrought iron drapery hardware and wrought iron accessories to the do-it-yourself market.
The elaborate designs in this collection are available in several beautiful finishes including "natural". They're superbly crafted and hand forged by Greek Ironmaster Yianni. With either simple or more decorative finials, this collection is well-suited to contemporary and traditional rooms.
Their current line consists of hand forged wrought iron curtain rods, finials, brackets and tiebacks. Additional wrought iron products will be added to the product line to include sconces, candle holders, garden products and more. These products offer the craftsperson the opportunity to create or simply update their window furnishings and home décor at a fraction of the cost.
Greek Ironmaster Yianni ~ A Little Bit Of History?
A young boy named Yianni began his apprenticeship as a blacksmith in the early 1960s in Rhodes, Greece. As a young man of age 15, he had no idea that this apprenticeship would change the direction of his life forever. He emigrated to the United States in the early 1970s for an opportunity, taking his skill of the trade with him. Almost 45 years later, with a thriving business in the wrought iron industry, a wife and two grown children, the tradition and timelessness of his trade are brought to you.
