Established in 1999.New Record Studios was founded in 1999 by owner and chief engineer Rubin Nizri. For the first thirteen years the studio was located in a church on the Upper East Side of New York City. In 2012, Rubin starting looking for a new location to grow the studio. After two years of searching for the right space and location, New Record Studios moved to downtown Jersey City. Construction on the new studio started in January of 2014, and after an intensive four months of hard work, dedication and sweat the new New Record Studios was erected at 150 Bay street, in Jersey City's Powerhouse Arts District. Rubin is a sound engineer, producer and professional drummer, having played with many local New York City bands. He also worked at The Cutting Room NYC as a sound engineer for the first two years and has been the live recording engineer since. Rubin also designed the sound system and acoustics in their new location on 32nd Street.
