The vision of Haversack Tile began in Northern California in the late 1950s with Vern Haversack. A successful tile contractor, Vern played a vital role in the unionization of the ceramic tile trade and received many awards and certificates for his accomplishments in the field. There are not many men of his caliber left in the trade and we are proud to carry on his traditions, methods and techniques. In the early 1980s Vern Haversacks son, Mike Haversack, moved to Bakersfield to reunite his wife with her family. After working for many of the largest tile contractors in town for nearly twenty years, Mike started Haversack Tile Company. Haversack tile has been serving Bakersfield for over ten years now and is still a family owned and operated business.
