UBA Sports founded in 2007, is a non profit (501) program uniting youth from various backgrounds, and struggling neighbors in the Bronx.
Good day, my name is Ms. Verna Montgomery, CEO, Chairperson and I have come to you with my proposal for a sports community. The majority of the children are economically disadvantaged, and come from single-family program for the children residing in the Bronx within my households, as well as larger family member households. These families/parents cannot afford to pay for their children to be a part of the sports activities and/or participate in the sports activities in New York City's five boroughs. This is primarily due to one income family member, cost and expenses for participation.
The things I have observed day to day in my community are that we do not have adequate sports activities for the children to participate in and develop into successful world champion athletes. Our children
