The New York Institute of Health and Behavior (NYIHB) is a human services organization borne out of the Health and Behavior Studies Department at Teachers College, Columbia University. NYIHB is committed to providing research, training and direct treatment services to improve the total health of both consumers and health care professionals and eliminate health disparities in New York City. This organization was incorporated in 2004 and has acquired a not for profit 501c3 tax exempt status. NYIHB has been granted a providers number from the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services to provide CASAC-T candidates with the initial 350 hours of educational courses required to qualify them to take the New York State CASAC examination.
