Established in 1997, South Bay Jiu Jitsu has become one of the most progressive Brazilian Jiu Jitsu schools in the area, and recognized as one of Southern Californias premier fight studios. Weve built this solid reputation by creating a unique methodology that focuses on developing technique and athleticism. Trained in Machado and Gracie Brazilian Jiu Jitsu since its introduction to the US in 1988, Bob Bass, owner and head instructor, is one of the 1st American Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belts underneath the Machado Brothers. Complementing our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes with Bob Bass, Sean "The Destroyer" Loeffler is the head instructor of our Mixed Martial Arts Classes. He is the Gladiator Challenge Champion and has been seen on TV fighting in the Bellator Championships.
