Both men were wholesale gift salesmen for the Alabama territory, and made the decision to enter the retail industry when they purchased a building in downtown Leeds, Alabama and began their own business. The Monkeys Uncle is an upscale shop with name brands like Vera Bradley, Tervis, Tyler Candles,and Mandy Bagwell. The store carries a large selection of gift items including fragrances, jewelry and ladies accessories, home decor, collegiate gifts, birthday and anniversary gifts and tableware.
