Kansas City native Debbie Dusenberry opened Curious Sofa in September of 2000 as a retail boutique specializing in a comfortable furnishings, uncommon objects and offbeat gifts. With an eye for buying and an unorthodox way of display, Debbie led Curious Sofa to be one of the nation's top small retailers and a destination shop for customers from across the country. For ten successful years Curious Sofa was recognized by many local, trade and national publications which led to a strong following on the shop's website and blog. In January of 2011, Debbie closed her brick and mortar store to concentrate on internet sales only. Today her time is spent working her online store, blogging, designing, and buying products at antique shows across the country with her beloved dog, Pearl by her side
