Sarah's experience in the fashion industry began at the age of four when she would accompany her mother on business trips to Manhattan's garment district. Her passion for historic clothing began the first time she saw a hoopskirt. Sarah grew up in Gettysburg where the beauty of Civil War era fashions inspired her. She immersed herself in history studying, collecting and sewing historic garments. Throughout high school she participated in historic clothing workshops, attended summer classes at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and studied original garments and Civil War uniforms. Sarah graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology with a degree in Fashion Merchandising and Marketing. While attending FIT she studied abroad, meeting with top CEO's, designers and representatives.
