Established in 1929, our establishment is now one of the five oldest VFW posts in the state of Arizona. Our organization has a great long history here in the city of Mesa, Arizona in both participating in community events and supporting our veterans albeit emotional, economical, social and resource support.The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States as a whole with its Auxiliaries, includes 2.2 million members in approximately 8,100 Posts worldwide.Its mission is to "honor the dead by helping the living" through veterans' service, community service, national security and a strong national defense.Since then, the VFW's voice had been instrumental in establishing the Veterans Administration, creating a GI bill for the 20th, and 21st century, the development of the national cemetery system and the fight for compensation for Vietnam vets exposed to Agent Orange and for veterans diagnosed with Gulf War Syndrome.VFW Post 1760 is part of District 4 in Mesa, Arizona.
