Targeting New York and New Jersey apartment properties that tenants with middle-class incomes can afford
Late last year, TreeTop Development, LLC, acquired Benjamin Banneker Plaza, a Section 8 housing complex in Chester, Pennsylvania. The company plans to renovate the property and reintroduce it as an affordable housing option in the area. This acquisition marks TreeTop's initial foray into the Pennsylvania market.
One of TreeTop Development's principals, Adam Mermelstein, described his firm's approach as purchasing real estate and enhancing it to reach current market standards before seeking a return on investment. Alongside Mermelstein, Azi Mandel serves as TreeTop Development's other principal. He establishes and maintains relationships with numerous lenders throughout the Greater New York City Area and oversees the firm's team of project managers, architects, engineers, and designers.
