The Visual Design program at the Career Technology Magnet is a premiere program having garnered many accolades, including SkillUSA student state champions two years in a row! Students learn concepts and theory based upon best practices in the design industry as well as hands on experience. We offer instruction in advertising, marketing, graphic design, problem-solving, video game design, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adboe InDesign, iMovie. Students complete tutorial and instructor based assignments, hold critiques, conduct client needs assessments and client presentations. Students often work together under the direction of a student project manager. Students may earn dual college credit and intern with local design and marketing firms to gain real world experience.
