For over 21 years, Furniture Medic by Steve and Corinne Healy has been your "prescription for damaged furniture" at your home or office. Owners Steve and Corinne focus on REPAIR and touch-up of fine furniture, usually with on-site, same-day service using advanced techniques and environmentally-friendly materials to restore furniture and wood fixtures to "like new" condition. We consider ourselves recyclers of fine furniture that might otherwise end up in the trash.After 22 years in the U.S. Army, Steve retired as a Sergeant Major (E-9). Steve, along with his wife Corinne, opened the Furniture Medic franchise in 1994 here in Huntsville. Steve concentrates on the technical side of the business, while Corinne concentrates on the administration and customer support. Steve's passion for woodworking made it an easy decision to provide the area with this service. "I've always been a woodworker...over 35 years as a hobby...I enjoy restoring something to its original state," Steve says. "Being retired from the Army, I want to thank the community for supporting our military and its veterans, and for over 21 years of supporting our business!" Furniture Medic's business philosophy is to do the job right with prompt, courteous, and dependable service that saves customers money with touch-up or repairing the piece as opposed to replacing it.
