Around 18 months, my son had a speech delayment. I was then referred to St. Louis Children's Hospital where he received speech therapy. He was diagnosed with autism at age 3 in VA. I applied for services to different agencies in Virginia and was denied repeatedly. Thank God I kept pressing. We moved back home to STL about 4 years ago and applied for the same services and was put on the waiting. My son is 19 years old now and transitioning into adulthood. Over those 16 years, I gave him instruments (keyboard, drum lessons, guitar, studio time) to help me communicate and cut a demo. He takes no prescription medication. He now takes the Nutraceutical line from Organo Gold and is doing better. It has been 16 years and we are still on the waiting list for music therapy services. April is Autis
