Kyle & Kristen Mayer
My name is Kristen Mayer and I am the Children's Pastor at Karcher Church of the Nazarene. In 2011, I graduated as a President's Scholar from Northwest Nazarene University with a B.A. in Christian Ministries. Since the age of six I have studied, practiced, and performed music in many settings. I have taken more than 16 years of private lessons in piano and classical voice and have performed with multiple groups locally and overseas. As a teacher at Newsong Academy of Fine Arts in Alabama, I taught private lessons in piano and voice as well as Music & Movement classes. I have worked with students age 3 to 63 and with those who have special needs. I have tutored in math and reading, including teaching home-school classes and teaching preschool. I currently teach lessons from my Nampa home.Kyle Mayer, my husband, got his B.S. in Engineering Physics from NNU in 2008 and his Masters in Physics from the University of Alabama Huntsville in 2013. He works as an engineer at Micron in Boise, and helps me teach the children at our church on Sundays. He tutors upper level math and physics, in fact, that is how I met him! He was my college roommate's physics tutor. Kyle and I have been married since 2011 and have been in our home since 2013. We enjoy doing projects on our house, riding our bikes, and spending time with family and friends.
